China is finishing the world’s largest radio telescope, “FAST”, with a reflector the size of 30 football fields and consisting of 4,450 panels, to observe the space for extraterrestrial life.

The technicians are assembling the gigantic telescope in Guizhou Province, China, beating the Puerto Rico’s Arecibo Observatory whose diameter is 300 meters. The telescope has a whopping a diameter of 500 meters and a perimeter of 1.6 kilometer which takes 40 minutes to walk around it. According to the Chinese scientists, the telescope is expected to enhance the capacity to observe outer space.
