In 2010, around the islands are facing the Chinese fishing boat and a Japanese coast guard boat, creating a major diplomatic precedent. Later, the two Asian superpowers released official documents substantiating their claims.

April 22 at the meeting of Asian and African countries in Indonesia, the president of China, Xi Jinping and Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, held a 30-minute conversation. During it, the fate of the islands, probably has not been raised, but perhaps this meeting will help safely resolve it in the future.
