9. Buckingham Palace
The Buckingham Palace stands tall in London as a mark of royalty and the home to the British Monarch. The palace is surrounded by beautiful gardens and sculptures and is a must visit.
A traditional ceremony prevalent since the 1800s takes place in the courtyard of the palace visible from outside – The Change of Guards. It is a colorful display of military bands and British pageantry. The ceremony lasts about 45 minutes and usually takes place daily at 11:30 from April until the end of July and on alternate days for the rest of the year. The palace is open for visit from 23 July – 31 August 2016 daily 09:15-19:45 and from 1 September – 2 October 2016 daily 09:15-18:45.A typical visit lasting for around 2 hours 30 minutes can cost adults upto 37 pounds and children upto 33 pounds.
